April Out and About

I would like to start off by congratulating the Norwood Women's Football team for making it to the Grand Final of the inaugural Women's SANFL League at Unley Oval. While both teams played extremely well, I was delighted to see the Norwood Women's team win the Premiership. I look forward to seeing the Women's League grow into the future.

I was pleased to join with members of the Kent Town Rotary Club, holding a fundraising BBQ outside Kent Town Bunnings. The money raised will support the great work of the club into the future.

I had the pleasure of hosting a dinner in Parliament House to thank members of the Operation Flinders Norwood Chapter for their donations and fundraising efforts. Operation Flinders is a charitable organisation with the aim of assisting young offenders and at-risk youth by holding adventure camps in the Flinders Ranges. I am thrilled to support such a worthy cause.

I began Anzac Day at the North Terrace Dawn Service, a time to remember and reflect on the many sacrifices our past and current Defence Force personnel have made. Following from the Dawn Service, I was able to attend the many RSL's throughout my electorate during the day.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to every patient and family who has been victim to the abuses seen at the Oakden residential facility. I am committed to holding the Weatherill Labor Government accountable for their role in this mess. The State Liberals are calling on the Weatherill Labor Government to stop the planned sale of the Repat Hospital and use its specialist facilities to support residents of the Oakden facility.
