December Out and About

With the 2016 Parliamentary Year over, I would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support. It has been a pleasure to assist hundreds of constituents on a wide variety of matters.

I was able to pop into a local small business earlier this month, Eamonn Vereker Glass Studio, where I was shown the way of glass blowing. I was amazed by all the colourful glass pieces Eamonn and his studio have produced.

During December I was fortunate enough to attend and present awards at many of the local school graduation ceremonies. Good luck to those Year 12's completing their school years, and the Year 7's heading to high school.

Congratulations to the Norwood Football Club who have received approval from the Development Assessment Commission for the new clubrooms. The club has raised a huge $1.1 million for the upgrade. I am looking forward to a successful 2017 season!

Throughout November and December my office was a drop off point for my annual Local Christmas Appeal. Members of our community generously donated items for the Norwood Salvation Army, which I then delivered to them. Each year it is great to see our community come together and support such a worthy cause. I look forward to next year's Christmas Appeal.

I hope everyone had a relaxing Christmas with family and friends. I look forward to working for you in 2017.
