February Out and About

There were many celebrations in Dunstan throughout February, including the Norwood Greek Festival, the 60th birthday of the Kensington and Norwood Pool Party, the Lithuanian Independence Celebration and the 2017 Year of the Rooster Lunar New Year. I love being able to get behind a BBQ and chat to the locals, and seeing many friendly faces.

It was great to head back to Marden for the first match of the 2017 SA National Premier League season to watch the Adelaide Blue Eagles take on Cumberland United. I look forward to the games ahead.

Congratulations to Arte Grafica on celebrating their 50th anniversary of printing. This is a huge milestone and I commend them on running such a wonderful and professional business in my electorate.

In February, I announced plans to boost the South Australian economy. A Marshall Liberal Government has a plan to build an alternative corridor for heavy freight called Globe Link, which when built will remove heavy freight from local thoroughfares such as Portrush Road, and be a non-stop route directly into Port Adelaide.

This will result in an improvement in safety for children and parents travelling to school, motorists, cyclists and pedestrians in the local area.
