ICAC Commissioner Bruce Lander today released his report into the Gillman Land deal. Commissioner Lander’s report offers a shocking and ugly insight into the State Labor Government.
The Report found that the Urban Renewal Authority “engaged in maladministration in public administration” in its handling of the deal.
Commissioner Lander also identified that Treasurer Tom Koutsantonis used excessive and foul language when dealing with public servants working on the deal.
“Mr Koutsantonis’ actions are completely inappropriate and unbecoming of a Minister,” said Mr Marshall.
“Mr Koutsantonis needs to immediately explain his behaviour and actions to South Australians.
“The public sector and South Australians generally need more than an apology from Mr Koutsantonis.”
Today’s Report follows the release of the ICAC Annual Report yesterday, which stated that a May 2015 survey on public integrity found that 57% of respondents believed that corruption, misconduct and maladministration was a problem in South Australian public administration.
