The State Liberals say the Weatherill Government’s failure to present viable plans for the redevelopment of Oaklands Crossing makes a mockery of the consultation process that is beginning at Westfield Marion today.
“Without detailed, costed plans as to how to alleviate the peak hour bottleneck there’s very little for people to be consulted about,” said Member for Mitchell Corey Wingard.
“I think we can take it as a given that everyone wants to spend less time waiting at the crossing.
“The issue is should it be an overpass or underpass for either road or rail, how is that going to be achieved, what is it going to look like and at what cost.
“It’s time Minister Mullighan put detailed, costed plans on the table and begin a genuine consultation process.”
