SIDS and Kids SA declared a fundraising ‘red alert’ as it kickstarted its 2019 ‘Red Donut Day’ campaign.  Support South Australian families by indulging in a delicious limited edition Vili’s Bakery red donut.

‘Red Donut Day’ is SIDS and Kids SA’s largest annual fundraiser attempting to raise $50,000 for SIDS and Kids SA, so it can continue to provide free professional counselling services for hundreds of bereaved South Australian families.  Last year alone, SIDS and Kids SA responded to 80 infant and child deaths, and provided 641 free, professional counselling services to more than 150 South Australians who have experienced the sudden and unexpected death of a child, from conception up to and including age six, due to:

  • Miscarriage
  • Stillbirth
  • Road Fatalities
  • Sleep Based Accidents and SIDS
  • Drownings
  • Sudden onset illness eg: Meningococcal

Order your Red Donut Day donuts online at www.reddonutday.org from May 10, for delivery during Red Donut Day week 24 – 28 June.  Orders can also be collected from your nearest Bendigo Bank branch too.  Online orders will close on Sunday 16 June.  For those who don’t order online, individual donuts will be sold at Café de Vili’s, metropolitan Bunnings Warehouse Cafes and local community bakeries across the state throughout the last week of June.

We encourage everyone to get involved and support SIDS & Kids SA by pre ordering your donuts and hosting a fundraising event at your workplace or school, or by simply grabbing a donut during Red Donut Day Week.  Plus, Vili’s Bakery have produced limited edition Corporate Boxes of red cocktail sized donuts to help celebrate End of Financial Year with your work colleagues.  One word…. Yum!
