The State Liberals’ Shadow Cabinet team are today meeting in the Riverland for an historic joint meeting with the Victorian Shadow Cabinet team.
The Shadow Cabinets from both states will host a joint meeting in Renmark and Mildura.
“The two teams will discuss how jobs growth, economic development and social connections can be strengthened by greater collaboration and also deal with biosecurity, procurement and bilateral trade issues,” said State Liberal Leader Steven Marshall.
“I’m looking forward to the meeting and to strengthening our relationship with the Victorian Shadow Cabinet team.”
South Australian Shadow Ministers will also be meeting with local industry stakeholders and touring businesses during the visit.
“The Riverland and Mallee regions are home to more than 4,000 small businesses,” said Mr Marshall.
“Furthermore, the region is home to a number of vital industries including agriculture, food production and irrigation.
“The Liberals are committed to meeting with and listening to what South Australians want for their communities, which is in stark contrast to the out of touch Weatherill Labor Government.
“The importance of regional communities in South Australia should never be underestimated.”
